The court granted three-day remand to former law minister Anisul Haque and former food minister Kamrul Islam in separate murder cases of Jatrabari and Lalbagh police stations.

The court granted three-day remand to former law minister Anisul Haque and former food minister Kamrul Islam in separate murder cases of Jatrabari and Lalbagh police stations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain gave this remand order on Wednesday.

Amir Hossain Amu, Anisul Haque, Salman F Rahman, Dipu Moni, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Kamrul Islam, ASM Feroz, Sadek Khan, Junaid Ahmed Palak, ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury etc. 14 people including leaders of some parties including Awami League, former minister-state minister and three police officers were produced in the court.

Then after 9 am they were taken to the courtroom under police guard. After the hearing, they were again taken to prison in a prison van.


Former Social Welfare Minister Dipu Moni was seen talking to Awami League leader Salman F Rahman in the court while standing for an hour.

He also spoke to former Minister of State for Information and Communication Junaid Ahmed Palak. Also spoke with Moshiur Rahman, a former officer of Dhaka Metropolitan Intelligence Police. He had a smile on his face as he spoke.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) President Hasanul Haque Inu and Bangladesh Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon did not speak to anyone except their lawyers despite standing for an hour in the courtroom.

Former minister Amir Hossain Amu also did not talk to anyone. His bail application was rejected. Amur's lawyer told the court that 90-year-old Amir Hossain is suffering from many diseases. He is not involved in any murder.

Apart from this, Salman F Rahman, Dipu Moni, Inu, Menon, Palak, Sadek Khan, ABM Fazle Karim, Haji Salim, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, police officers Moshiur Rahman, Monirul Islam and Abul Hasan were booked in several police stations including Jatrabari. Arrests are shown in various murder cases.
