The program started on Wednesday around 3:30 pm under the banner of anti-discrimination student movement. Various college-university students and common people participated in it.
The participants in the mourning and harmony rally are saying that they are demanding justice for the brutal murder of lawyer Saiful Islam. The killers must be arrested and brought to justice.
Maheen Sarkar, the central coordinator of the anti-discrimination movement, who was present at the rally, said that the people of Bangladesh have been living together since time immemorial, maintaining harmony. Various quarters continue to try to destroy this bond of harmony. The fallen leaders of Awami League are conspiring outside the country. As part of that, efforts are being made to spread religious hatred. Collectively these conspiracies will be countered.
At this time, the students-crowd present demanding justice for Saiful Islam Alif's murder can be heard chanting various slogans.
