Abdus Shahid was produced in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Michabahur Rahman at Moulvibazar Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Wednesday morning. At that time, he was granted a one-day remand and sent to jail on charges of terrorist activities under the Explosives Act.

APP Advocate Abul Hossain Md. Mashuk said he was accused of terrorist activities in a case filed under the 2018 Explosives Act. When presented in court today, the investigating officer of the case asked for a five-day remand, but the court granted a one-day remand. The lawyer of the accused applied to the court for bail. But the court did not grant the bail application and granted remand.

Former Deputy Minister of Agriculture. Two separate cases have been filed in Moulvibazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court on September 19 with Abdus Shahid as the main accused. In these cases, attacks on ordinary students and crowds, vandalism, looting and terrorist activities are alleged.


Abdus Shahid was elected as Member of Parliament seven times from Moulvibazar-4 (Srimangal-Kamalganj) parliamentary seat in the National Parliament elections. On the night of October 3, Abdus Shaheed was arrested by the police in a raid at Uttara's house in Dhaka.
