Awami League leader and Dakshin Khurma Union chairman Abu Bakkar Siddique has been arrested by the police in Sunamganj roof vandalism case.

He was arrested from the Upazila Parishad area on Wednesday morning.

He is the son of deceased Abdul Manik of Senpur village of Dakshin Khurma Union of Upazila and vice president of Dakshin Khurma Union Awami League.

Confirming the arrest, SI Abdus Sattar said, he was arrested in a case of Sunamganj Sadar police station.

Officer-in-charge of the police station, Golam Kibria Hasan, said that the arrested UP chairman has been sent to Sunamganj Sadar police station. He is an absconding accused in multiple cases, police said
