But the case was filed with the ulterior motive of politically harassing the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia under the direct orders and supervision of Sheikh Hasina Wazed who is currently absconding in India and a fugitive under the law.

When Khaleda Zia was examined - what is called in legal parlance 342 when she gave; Then he said - I am innocent in this case. He gave a very big written speech. He also said, the place of the judge is after Allah. If I am wronged today, those who do wrong will also face justice one day. Today, the request of the country leader Begum Khaleda Zia in 2018 has been proved today. He wanted justice that day, he didn't get it. Those who wronged him are no longer in the country. So we respect the rule of law. The court said today's short judgment for Khaleda Zia; In the appeal, he added, "We are satisfied and justice has been served by Begum Khaleda Zia through today's judgment."

Qaiser Kamal said, Khaleda Zia mentioned the verses of the Holy Quran and told the court that the place of judges is after Almighty Allah. If you do justice, you will be rewarded. And if you wrong me, you will suffer the consequences.

Barrister Kaiser Kamal said, those who wronged Khaleda Zia on that day cannot stay in the country today. fled and took shelter elsewhere.


Before this, the High Court bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Syed Enayet Hossain passed the verdict at around 12:15 PM.

The court sentenced BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to 7 years in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case. The High Court granted Khaleda Zia's appeal against that sentence and acquitted her today.

The judicial court gave its verdict in the Zia Charitable Trust case on 29 October 2018. In the verdict, Khaleda Zia was sentenced to 7 years in prison and fined 10 lakh taka. Khaleda Zia appealed to the High Court on November 18 of the same year against this verdict. On April 30, 2018, a double bench of the High Court took up the appeal and stayed the fine order passed by the trial court in Khaleda Zia's case.

The Awami League government collapsed on August 5 in the face of the popular uprising led by the anti-discrimination student movement. Then on August 6, Khaleda Zia was released after waiving the penalty in the Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust cases. Later, the BNP chairperson applied for permission to produce the paper book as a preliminary to the hearing of the appeal filed in the High Court against the judgment of the trial court in the Zia Charitable Trust case.
