Jumbangla Desk: Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam, leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement, have been accused of trying to kill them with a truck. On Wednesday (November 27) on the way back after visiting the grave of Advocate Saiful Islam Alif, the incident took place at Haji Street intersection of Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway at around 7:30 pm.
In an interview given about the assassination attempt , Hasnat Abdullah narrated the incident and said, "We went to Alif Bhai's house today. There was a large gathering of people.
There was a crowd of motorcycles for about three kilometers. Due to the crowd, we boarded the same car on the way back, we boarded another car on the way back. We had three cars. The car in front of us had a head-on collision with the truck.
He said, the truck driver has been interrogated. But he is giving inconsistent information. His facts and reality had no match. He said he was going to redeem the goods, but he did not have any slips or documents with him.
Hasnat Abdullah said, the second information that is the most sensitive - the owner of this truck is the accused of murder in the July coup.
He said, "You see many times Awami League, Jubo League and their cells publicly announce to kill us. We are being scared to death. But we do not care about this fear of death. We have GD, if it is an attempt to murder, the administration will take appropriate action subject to investigation.
Hasnat Abdullah said, let us be clear if one Hasnat dies, nothing will happen if one Sarjis dies. During the agitation, we saw the police telling the home minister — one shot, one fell, and another stood up. If one of us falls, another Hasnat, another Sarjis will stand up. Nothing will stop.
