The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh gave this information in a statement at night in view of the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India on Tuesday (November 27) about Chinmoy Das.

It is said that the statement made by the Ministry of External Affairs of India on the internal affairs of Bangladesh has been noticed by the government. It is with great disappointment and deep sorrow that the Government has noted that after the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das on certain charges, some quarters are spreading distorted information. Such a baseless statement by India is not only spreading misinformation, but is contrary to the spirit of friendship and understanding between the two neighboring countries. The statement did not reflect the harmony that exists among people of all religions in Bangladesh and the commitment and efforts of the government towards secularism.

India's statement completely ignores the government's determination to end the culture of impunity that perpetuates grave human rights abuses on the people of Bangladesh and the vision of the majority and the minority alike, the statement said.
