He said these things while talking to reporters after visiting the Asian International Trade Fair at BICC in Sher Bangla Nagar of the capital on Friday (November 22) afternoon.
The advisor said, Saint Martin is the only coral island in the country. The island has already suffered a lot of damage due to overcrowding. I want to bring it to a manageable position to limit it. To keep St. Martin alive it is advisable to take tourism to its capacity.
He said that coral islands are being damaged due to plastic. Tourists use polythene to throw on the ground. If it continues to grow and since it has reached a critical point we must first limit it and then clean it up at a massive cost.
On the question that traders are being affected, he said, the first question is whether they have done research there or not. It is the responsibility and duty of those who are operating the tourist or those who are providing services there to conduct a survey there.
The 17-day Asia International Trade Fair has been going on at the China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon in the capital since November 7. The fair will end on November 23.
