Jumbangla Desk : BGC Trust University Bangladesh has temporarily expelled a student for his involvement in the murder of young lawyer Saiful Islam demanding the release of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in the Chittagong court premises.

The decision was taken at an emergency academic meeting of the university on Wednesday (November 27) afternoon. Acting Registrar Dr. This information was informed in an office order signed by SM Swaib.

It is known that the student's name is Shubo Kanti Das. He is a second year student of the law department of the university. Shubo Kanti Das's house is in Alampur village of Dhalghat union of Patia upazila.

Salahuddin Shahriar, deputy registrar of the university, said that following an incident yesterday, the students of the law department said that this student (Shubh Kanti Das) was involved, due to which the academic council of the law department dismissed this student in a meeting.

Earlier, the students of the university accused him of involvement in the murder and demanded the cancellation of his studentship to the university authorities.

It is to be noted that the expelled student Shubo Kanti Das is an active worker of the banned student organization Chhatra League and ISKCON of Patia upazila.
