After the meeting, Chief Adviser's press secretary Shafiqul Alam said that national unity was spoken by BNP. The chief adviser also said that he wants the unity of the nation. He gave the message of national unity among the students, the masses, Hindus and Muslims.

The meeting was held on Wednesday (November 27) evening at Rashtriya Guest House Yamuna. Mirza Abbas, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salauddin Ahmed were also in the delegation of BNP in the meeting.

The press secretary said that the issue of Chittagong was discussed in the meeting. He said that the chief adviser asked everyone to remain calm.

Stating that 33 people have been arrested in the Chittagong incident, the press secretary said, 6 people have been identified by watching the video footage. He also said that members of Awami League and banned organizations were caught with cocktails.
