Appellate Division denied bail to Hallmark's Jasmine

His bail plea will come up for hearing after three months, the order said. Among these, the ACC investigation report has been asked to be submitted to the court.

Chief Justice on Thursday. The 5-judge Appellate Division headed by Syed Refat Ahmed gave this order.

Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal appeared for Jasmine in the court. Advocate Asif Hasan appeared for the ACC.

Earlier in 2022, the High Court did not grant bail to Jasmine Islam in this case. This order was appealed to the Appellate Division.

In the case of embezzlement of Tk 85 crore 87 lakh 33 thousand 616 of Janata Bank against fake LC, the High Court Division granted him bail on March 10, 2019. Against this, the ACC appealed to the Appellate Division. On June 16 of the same year, the Appellate Division canceled his bail and ordered him to surrender within four weeks.

Then Jasmin Islam surrendered. Later, when the High Court applied for bail, the court issued a ruling.
