Engineer Monirul Islam Palash, the senior joint convener of the municipal volunteer group, who was seriously injured in the anti-discrimination student movement in Savar, has filed a case against former MP Enamur Rahman as the main accused and named 52 people in the court. Besides, 60 people have been made unknown accused in the case.


The case was filed in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Dhaka on Thursday morning. The court took cognizance of the case and ordered Savar Model Police Station to investigate. At the same time, the court fixed the next date of the case on January 13, 2025.

 

Engineer Monirul Islam Palash, Senior Joint Convener of the volunteer group in the case, mentioned that he participated in the Thana Road adjacent to Enam Medical during the anti-discrimination movement. Last July 14, Awami was shot by terrorists and fell on the ground during the agitation at Savar police station bus stand. Later he was rescued by locals and treated at Enam Medical College.


In the case, the former Minister of State for Relief Dr. Enam, his associate director of Enam Medical Saiful Islam, CEO Anwarul Qadir Nazim, former Upazila Parishad Chairman Manjurul Alam Rajeev and 52 others have been named and 50-60 unknown people have been accused.


Police Inspector (Investigation) Ashiq Iqbal said that the case will be investigated.
