South Africa's young pacer Marco Jensen created a unique precedent by crushing Sri Lanka. The 24-year-old left-arm medium pacer is the Sri Lankan cricket team's favorite.

The Sri Lankan cricket team is on a tour of South Africa to play a two-match Test series. In response to South Africa's 191 in the first innings of the first Test of the series, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 42 runs. The visiting team could not bat even 15 overs. All out in just 13.5 overs. Not only that, the Lankans could not deal with more than 83 valid deliveries.

For South Africa, Marco Jensen took 7 wickets for 13 runs with a maiden in 6.5 overs. Earlier in 1904, former Australian captain Hugh Trumbler set the precedent of taking 7 wickets in seven overs of a Test innings. Marco Jensen set this precedent 120 years after that incident.

Sri Lanka made a bad record by being bowled out for just 42 runs in the ongoing Test in Durban, South Africa on Wednesday. This is the lowest score by the former world champions in the history of Test cricket.

Earlier in 1994, the Lankans were bowled out for 71 runs against Pakistan at their home ground in Kandy. Sri Lanka broke that record after 30 years and created a record of shame.
