A 25-year-old youth has been accused of killing a woman by strangling her into 40-50 pieces after raping her. The murder took place on November 8 in Khunti district of Jharkhand, India.
Naresh Vengra, a butcher by profession, has been arrested in this incident.
According to police sources, Naresh is a resident of Jhariagarh police station area of Khunti district of Jharkhand. Lived in Tamil Nadu for work. Worked in a meat shop there. Engaged in a live-in relationship with a young woman while in Tamilnadu. They were living together for the last two years.
Naresh recently returned to his village home in Jharkhand. Returning to the village, he married the family's favorite bride. Just as he kept his live-on relationship a secret from his wife, Naresh did not want to tell his live-in partner about his marriage.
Naresh left his newly wedded wife at the village house and went back to work. On investigation, the police found out that Naresh's live-in partner started pressuring him for marriage as soon as he reached Tamil Nadu. The young woman kept insisting to take her to the village house.
Khunti Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar said that the victim of the murder forced her to take him to Naresh's house. At that time, Naresh took the woman to a forest near his house in Jardag village of Jhariagarh police station in Jharkhand. Killed there and scattered the body into 40-50 pieces. About 15 days after the murder on November 24, the dismembered body was found on a road near Jardag village.
The accused youth Naresh's village is near the forest. That morning, the villagers saw a dog carrying a severed hand in its mouth. Seeing this scene, the village was stunned. Then the villagers informed the police. On investigation, the police recovered the body parts inside a bag from the forest.
Ashok Singh, the investigating officer of the case, said that the accused used to work in a butcher shop in Tamil Nadu. He admitted that he killed the woman and cut her body into 40-50 pieces and left it for wild animals to eat.
