"This government is interim and neutral. It is for this government to complete the various reforms it has taken as soon as possible, especially the necessary reforms in the field of elections and give an election roadmap.'

Today, the court of Judge Abul Kashem of Dhaka's Special Judge Court-1 Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, son of Khandaker Mahbub Hossain and former line director of the Department of Health Dr. Mahbubur Rahman was acquitted as the charges were not proved.

After being acquitted, Khandaker Musharraf said, 'I thank God. A false, concocted case was filed against me, my son and an officer of the health department. The case had no basis, evidence. This case happened during One Eleven. As you can see, this case has been going on for about 16 years. But the government has not been able to provide any primary evidence to make a complaint in this case and prove it. As a result of which, after so long, today this court acquitted us from the case.'

The former minister said, 'Through this case, we can see that Sheikh Hasina's government has persecuted us based on these false cases during and after One Eleven. In the last 17 years, I have been in court for more than five years in various cases. We had to come in this way in so many cases. Through him, this autocratic-fascist government who was ousted by the student uprising in July-August, but they wanted to use these cases to torture us and throw us out of politics. But in the judgment of the people of this country, they had to resign and flee the country by God's order.'

He said, 'Begum Khaleda Zia was given a false case, sentenced, kept in jail and made her sick with the intention of killing her. By the grace of Allah, he is alive and in the country. And Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post and fled the country. Even before the dictatorship in this country, the students resigned in the mass movement. But did not run away from the country. But Sheikh Hasina ran away. This shows how weak they are. How much injustice, crime, torture has done to the people of this country. Just to stay in power.'

Mosharraf Hossain said, today the expectations of the people, the uprising of the students have put this government (interim government) in power today. This government is interim and neutral. It is the responsibility of this government to provide a road map for an election by speedily completing the necessary electoral reforms. And the sooner it is possible, the better for the country, the better for the people and the better for this government.

In response to a question, he said, 'We have already raised a demand from the party to withdraw the cases, fabricated cases, which were made during the time of One Eleven and during the dictator Sheikh Hasina, as soon as possible. This will surely create obstacles during the next elections. If the government wishes, it can immediately remove the barriers. It is possible if the government is sincere.'
