According to nutritionists, irregularity in daily eating and lifestyle is the biggest reason for this. After a certain age it is important to follow a balanced diet. But most people don't believe that. On top of that there is smoking and alcohol addiction.
The Indian Council of Medical Research also has guidelines on what a man's diet should look like when he crosses fifty. But nutritionists say, a diet chart should be taken out of what is eaten daily in a Bengali home. Foods that are readily available and nutritious should be on the list.
If you eat a lot of fried foods, chop-cutlets, high protein food, various physical problems will appear. Once you suffer from an 'eating disorder', heart, liver and kidney problems will start very soon. Before reaching old age, age-related diseases will take root in the body.
If you pass fifty, what food will you keep?
1) There is no need to eliminate rice or bread all at once. But eat less. Do not eat too much food at once, eat small amounts every now and then.
2) If you have indigestion problem, you can eat ragi or millet bread instead of wheat flour or flour. Avoid white bread, biscuits and eat brown bread. Any type of cereal like oats, quinoa, dalia should be included in the daily diet.
3) Have breakfast between 8 am and 9 am. At this time you can eat milk-cornflakes, or a bowl of dalia khichuri, or oats with vegetables. If milk is not digested, eat two warm hand-made breads and a bowl of vegetables. With the fruits of any one season.
