1250 kg potatoes in 25 sacks are purchased from farmers or agents on the request of cold storage owners for the poor and needy people. It is being bought at the rate of Tk 45 per kg and selling at Tk 50 with a profit of Tk 5.
In this regard, District Consumer Officer Noor Hossain Rubel said, anti-discrimination student coordinator and members of a voluntary organization 'Strength Foundation' were motivated to sell potatoes in front of the office of district administration Chandpur.
