Jumbangla Desk: A person named Suman Mia (24) was caught while giving proxy in police constable recruitment exam in Rajshahi. The police conducted a raid and arrested the real candidate and one of Suman's accomplices.
They were arrested on Wednesday (November 27) by members of the Intelligence Branch (DB) of the Rajshahi District Police. Later that night, DB Police Deputy Inspector (SI) Jilalur Rahman filed a case against them at Rajpara police station in the city.
District DB Police Inspector Ruhul Amin confirmed this information on Thursday (November 28).
Suman Mia's house is in Paschim Singh village of Comilla's Burichong police station. He completed his studies from Shajjalal University of Science and Technology. The other two are Rakib (19) of Bangalpara village of Bagmara upazila of Rajshahi and Taufiqur Rahman (35) of Bakir Mor area of Rajshahi metropolis.
Inspector Ruhul Amin said that there was a recruitment test for the post of Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) at Shaheed Mamun Mahmood Police Lines School and College Center in Rajshahi under the management of district police on Wednesday morning. During the examination, the inspector noticed that the picture in the admit card did not match with Suman sitting for the examination. Later, in the face of extensive questioning, Suman said that he had come to the center to take the test on behalf of Rakib.
After that, a team of DB police went and arrested Suman from the examination center. After that, based on the information given by him, the main candidate Rakib and his associate Taufikur were arrested from the river bank near the police line. Then a case was filed against them.
