Jumbangla Desk: Hefazete Islam Dhaka Metropolitan has called a protest rally in the capital today to protest against the demand to ban ISKCON and the killing of young lawyer Saiful Islam Alif in Chittagong.
The protest rally will be held at the north gate of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram after the Friday prayers on Friday (November 29).
Earlier, this decision was taken in a meeting of Hefazte Islam Bangladesh Dhaka Metropolitan at Jamia Rahmia Arabia Mohammadpur on Thursday (November 28). Dhaka Metropolitan President Maulana Junaid Al Habib presided over the meeting.
At that time Maulana Mahfuzul Haq, Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani, Maulana Nazmul Hasan Kasemi, Maulana Mamunul Haque, Maulana Fazlul Karim Kasemi, Maulana Jalaluddin, Mufti Bashirullah, Mufti Munir Hussain Kasemi, Mufti Kefayatullah Azhari, Maulana Luqman Mazhari, Maulana Mohiuddin Masum, Maulana Zubair Ahmad, Mufti Azharul Islam, Maulana Faisal Ahmad, Maulana Enamul Haque Musa, Mufti Kamal Uddin, Maulana Afsar Mahmud, Maulana Abdul Malek, Maulana Sharif Ullah, Mufti Aminul Islam Qasemi, Maulana Sanaullah Khan, Maulana Sharif Hossain, Maulana Bashirul Hasan and others were present.
Incidentally, the Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatani Jagran Jot spokesperson and ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari was arrested by the Police Intelligence Branch (DB) from the capital's Shahjalal International Airport on November 25 . Later on November 26, he was taken to Chittagong court. The court did not grant him bail and ordered him to be sent to jail.
Chinmoy Krishna Das' followers blocked the prison van carrying him on the way to the court. On the way to remove them and take Chinmoy Krishna to jail, Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari's followers clashed with the law enforcement forces and lawyers. Young lawyer Saiful Islam Alif was killed in this incident.
Demonstration programs are ongoing in various districts of the country to protest the killing of lawyers and demand justice. There have been demands to ban ISKCON from these programs.
