Apart from 3 ODI and T20I matches in South Africa series, Pakistan will play two Tests. The series will run from December 10 to January 7. However, the South Africa series is gaining more importance as the Champions Trophy is ahead. It is assumed that it will be a lot of Champions Trophy squad. After that, there will not be much change in this squad.

So Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shahra will return to South Africa despite being rested for the Zimbabwe series. Apart from this, Fakhar Zaman, who was left out of the central contract, may be given a chance in the team.
