The IRGC chief gave this message in a message on Thursday. News from Mehr News.

In a message to Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, Major General Hossein Salami congratulated Lebanon and Hezbollah for 'imposing a ceasefire' against Israel.

Salami said the cease-fire on the Lebanese front was a strategic and humiliating defeat for the Zionist regime, which failed to achieve any of its sinister goals and ambitions in the war against Hezbollah.

He added that this ceasefire may be the beginning of a new ceasefire towards ending the Gaza war.

Salami noted that when Israel agreed to a cease-fire, it was under fire from Hezbollah's missiles, which were targeting regime military bases and strategic locations. The result was a lesson for Tel Aviv and its supporters.

He said this unacceptable regime is on the way to collapse and the crimes they are committing in Gaza and Lebanon will only strengthen the resistance.

The IRGC chief said that Hezbollah had truly achieved this victory by imposing a ceasefire on Lebanon's northern front, preventing Israel from achieving its evil goals.

In early October 2023, Israel launched its violent invasion of Lebanon after waging a genocidal war on Gaza. At least 3,823 people were killed and 15,859 injured in the Israeli attack.
