The Met Office said the deep depression over southwest Bay of Bengal and nearby areas moved northwestward and intensified into Cyclone Finjal. It may move further northwestward and cross the North Tamil Nadu coast on Saturday (November 30) noon. Its surplus extends to the northern Bay of Bengal.


In such a situation, there may be light to moderate rain at a couple of places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions till 6 pm. Apart from this, there is a trend of rain in Khulna and Barisal divisions for the next 24 hours from 6 pm.

According to the temperature forecast, day temperature may drop by 1 to 2 degree Celsius across the country today and night temperature may remain almost unchanged.

According to the notification, Cyclone Finjal was located 1,635 km southwest of Chittagong sea port, 1,585 km southwest of Cox's Bazar sea port, 1,510 km southwest of Mongla sea port and 1,512 km southwest of Payra sea port at 3 pm today. It is likely to move further northwest and cross the north Tamil Nadu coast around noon today.

The maximum sustained wind speed is 62 kmph within 54 km of the cyclone center. Which is increasing up to 88 kilometers per hour in the form of gusts or gusts. The sea is very rough in the vicinity of the cyclone center.
