The sea has become rough as the depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal has turned into Cyclone Finjal. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in some areas of the country on Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, the number one signal has been lowered to the number two warning signal in all sea ports.

According to the weather synoptic, the deep depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas is moving north-northwestward and intensifying into Cyclone 'Finjal' over the same area. It is located in the same area (11.0 degrees north latitude and 82.2 degrees east longitude) at 3 pm today. It may move further northwestward and cross the north Tamil Nadu coast on Saturday (November 30) noon. But its extension extends to the northern Bay of Bengal.
On the other hand, in the evening, the special notification issued by the Storm Warning Center of the Meteorological Department said that the sea ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to lower the number one remote warning signal and display the number two remote warning signal instead.
All fishing boats and trawlers operating in the northern Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to proceed cautiously close to the coast until further notice.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast given for the next 24 hours from Friday evening has said that under the influence of the cyclone, there may be light to moderate rain at two places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere in the country. During this time, the night temperature may increase slightly and the day temperature may drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius across the country.
