The rally was marred by the attack and vandalism of the farmers' rally of the state reform movement in Roumari upazila of Kurigram. The attack took place at Muktijoddha Complex premises of the upazila around 3 pm on Friday. Immediately after the incident, a press conference was held at the Upazila Press Club at around 5 pm, demanding the immediate arrest of the attackers along with the removal of UNO, OC and Assistant Superintendent of Police (Raumari Circle) for neglect of duty.

Amir Haider Ali of Roumari Upazila Jamaat said that there were no farmers in their farmers' rally. The anti-discrimination student movement was also not called. Those who are in charge of the state have not been called. Because of this, the administration broke their stage. Even then, when they wanted to hold a rally, the general public attacked them. He said that there may be two or one from the Jamaat camp among them.

He complained that Awami League's friends were trying to create an unstable situation by gathering people like ISKCON.

Lutfar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Roumari police station, denied the incident of attack on the rally and said that there was no rally in Roumari. No attack happened. Jamaat-BNP was against the rally. Those who were supposed to attend the rally did not attend. Because of this, there was no rally.

Regarding the attack on the rally, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kazi Anisul Islam said that the rally of the state reform movement did not take place.
