The attack took place at Muktijoddha Complex premises of the upazila around 3 pm on Friday. Amir Haider Ali of Roumari Upazila Jamaat said that there were no farmers in their farmers' rally. The anti-discrimination student movement was also not called. He said that there may be two or one from the Jamaat camp among them.
He complained that Awami League's friends were trying to create an unstable situation by gathering people like ISKCON.
Lutfar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Roumari police station, denied the incident of attack on the rally and said that there was no rally in Roumari. No attack happened. Jamaat-BNP was against the rally. Those who were supposed to attend the rally did not attend. Because of this, there was no rally.
Regarding the attack on the rally, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kazi Anisul Islam said that the rally of the state reform movement did not take place.
