Police arrested a land officer in Sonagazi. His name is Bazlur Rahman Tipu. He is currently an assistant officer in the municipal land office of Daganbhuan.

The OC of Sonagazi police station said that he was arrested from Daganbhuana on Friday morning in a case of attempted murder of a businessman.

It is known that on the night of August 15, Tipu and some of his associates tried to kill Omar Farooq, a poultry trader of Baduria village in Bogadana union of the upazila, due to previous enmity.

In this incident, the injured Farooq filed a case at the police station, making Tipu the main accused. Bajlur Rahman Tipu (45) is the son of Badiur Rahman of Baduria village of the upazila and assistant officer of Daganbhuana Bhumi office.

Sonagazi police station OC Kamruzzaman said that Tipu was absconding after the incident. He was arrested in a raid on a house in Daganbhuana town on Friday morning.
