In Rangpur's Ganeshpur, a madrasa student was allegedly strangled to death after brutal torture. The body of the student named Siam was recovered from an abandoned room on the third floor of Bakultala Jannatbagh Hafezia Madrasa and Lillah Boarding.
The victim's family alleged that the student was strangled to death after brutal torture. CID and Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Thana Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
It is known that father Bhutta Mia admitted a 10-year-old child named Siam to Bakultala Jannatbagh Madrasa in Rangpur city three weeks ago for Arabic education. Family members spoke to Siam on phone even on Thursday afternoon. However, at 8 o'clock in the night, Siam was informed that he was ill. Later, when the family members came to the madrasa, they were informed that Siam had died.

Siam's uncle Anwar Islam said, after Thursday evening we were informed that my nephew is sick. When we quickly went to the madrasa, Huzur said - Siam is dead. After coming to the hospital, I saw that there were injury marks in different parts of his body. Blood is also coming from the anus. It is clear that my nephew Siam was strangled to death after brutal torture. We want the culprits to be punished.
Siam's father Bhuttu Mia said, we are poor people. no money I wanted to teach my son Arabic. So three weeks before admission in this madrasa. I spoke with the child on Thursday afternoon as well. Asking to bring what will be needed. But in the evening Huzur calls and says that Siam is ill and come quickly. Later I heard that my father is no more. At that time, he demanded justice for the murder of his son and appealed to the police administration to bring the killers under the law.
Madrasa teacher Golam Rasul said, I don't understand how a boy who played sports till afternoon. This is a case of brutal murder. I demand a fair trial.
According to the police and madrasa authorities, after the Maghrib prayer on Thursday, the madrasa teacher Siam was not seen during the regular classes and everyone searched for him. At one point, a teacher named Abdur Rahman alias Abdullah found Siam unconscious in the abandoned room on the newly built 3rd floor of the madrasa. Later he was rescued and taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where the working doctor declared him dead.
According to the preliminary information provided by Kotwali Metropolitan Police Station OC Ataur Rahman, the deceased Siam was strangled to death after brutal torture.
However, when asked about the identity of the accused, he said, "We have so far detained 4 people including Abdur Rahman alias Abdullah for suspicious behavior. Initially, their interrogation is going on. The actual unveiling will be done very soon.
