Malaysia flood

Citing the country's government warning on Friday (November 29), Free Malaysia Today reported that this monsoon season could be the worst flood in a decade.

Flooding during the monsoon season is a common occurrence in Malaysia's east coast peninsula. This flood occurs especially from October to March. However, many people have been evacuated from the area due to heavy rains this week. Many people have been evacuated to safety, especially from the northeastern state of Kelantan, which borders Thailand.

The country's National Disaster Management Center website said on Friday morning that three people had died in the floods and 80,589 people had been evacuated. 467 temporary shelters have been opened for them in seven states. Among the worst affected states are Kelantan and Terengganu.
