The makers of the movie have pushed back the release date from December 2024 to February 2025. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh ​​shared the news at XHandle on Wednesday evening. It is believed that the makers of 'Chhava' took this decision to avoid clashing with Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'.

On Wednesday evening, Taran Adarsh ​​wrote on his X handle, 'Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandana, Akshay Khanna's 'Chaava' announced new release date. Chabha will release in theaters next year, i.e. on February 14, 2025.

Since February 19, 2025 is the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, this movie is thought to be released in that month. This increases the significance of the movie release day.

Chhabha was initially supposed to be released this year, i.e. December 6, 2024. But on the same day, the much awaited film 'Pushpa 2' is releasing across the country.

Needless to say, this Telugu action drama has huge hype. So naturally, everyone is pretty sure that the scale of 'Pushpa 2' will be heavy. And as a result, the fear that 'Chhava' is going to be severely damaged from the business side was enough. Perhaps that's why the makers felt it safe to change the release date of the movie and release it on another date.

'Chabha' is a biographical film on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Maratha Emperor Shivaji Maharaj. Produced by Dinesh Bijan and directed by Laxman Utekar, the film will feature Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Akshay Khanna as Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Nicknamed Sambhaji, the movie is titled 'Chhava', which means 'lion cub' in Marathi. Baji was the founder of the Maratha Empire, i.e. Singha, and his son 'Chabha'.
