According to the notification, Cyclone Finjal was located 1650 km southwest of Chittagong sea port, 1605 km southwest of Cox's Bazar sea port, 1505 km southwest of Mongla sea port and 1515 km southwest of Payra sea port at 6 am today. It may move further west-northwestwards and cross the North Tamil Nadu coast on Saturday afternoon.

It also said that the maximum sustained wind speed within 54 km of the cyclone center is 62 km per hour, increasing to 88 km per hour in the form of gusts or gusts. The sea is very rough in the vicinity of the cyclone center. As a result, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra sea ports have been asked to show remote warning signal number 2.


Besides, all fishing boats and trawlers operating in North Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to proceed cautiously near the coast till further instructions.

Meanwhile, India Meteorological Department (ADM) in its latest news said that Cyclone Finja will pass over the Tamil Nadu-Paducherry coast. During its passage, wind speed will be 70 to 80 kmph in and around Karaikal and Mahabalipuram. Which can cross up to 90 km with gusty winds.
