'India and some Hindus here are creating communal problems'

BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf said, "Starting from India, why are some Hindus here creating such (communal) problems? They are defaming and defaming Bangladesh all over the world?"

BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf said, "Starting from India, why are some Hindus here creating such (communal) problems? They are defaming and defaming Bangladesh all over the world?"

The BNP leader also said that their only objective is to create chaos here. They will do whatever they can to ensure that this government fails. For this, the government must make the necessary reforms for the elections and quickly announce the election roadmap.

He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized at the National Press Club in the capital on Friday to mark the 'December 6 Fall of Dictatorship and Democracy Day.' The meeting was organized by the leaders of DUCSU-90 and the All-Party Student Unity.

Khandaker Mosharraf said, various conspiracies are going on over minor issues. Has the Hindu community been living in Bangladesh for three months, or have they been living in great harmony since independence? Everyone, regardless of religion or caste, must unite against that conspiracy. There is no such thing as Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Christian here. The identity of the citizens of this country is Bangladeshi. Therefore, everyone is Bangladeshi. Why this discrimination? If 180 million Bangladeshis are united, no country will be able to succeed by conspiring.

He said, "The reforms that the government wants to make must be completed and elections must be held quickly. The people will decide what the future of Bangladesh will be like. There is no opportunity to humiliate the people. The people will decide who their government will be. They can protect the government, they can dismiss the government, the people of this country have proven this. We supported this government. We supported it because this government will hand over power to the people through an acceptable election."

Regarding reforms, Khandaker Mosharraf said, "The top priority should be to create an electoral arena. To make reforms related to this and provide a roadmap for the elections."

In his speech as the president of the meeting, former DUCSU VP and advisor to the BNP Chairperson Amanullah Aman said, "We rescued democracy that day under the leadership of Khaleda Zia. Democracy was blocked during Sheikh Hasina's tenure. Finally, the decision was made on the streets through the student-public movement. Democracy has arrived. This democracy must be maintained. Today, the conspiracy has begun. The government has called for national unity to confront the conspiracy. The conspiracy must be confronted through this unity."

At that time, other speakers at the discussion meeting included BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member Md. Habibur Rahman Habib, Zahir Uddin Swapan, Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir, and others.
