The market is filled with fresh winter vegetables. Although there is some relief in other vegetables, potatoes and onions are being sold at high prices. A kilogram of new potatoes is being sold for 100 to 120 taka. Old potatoes are being sold for 75 to 80 taka. Tomatoes are 120 taka and onion bulbs are 50 taka per kg.

In the vegetable market, it was seen that per kilogram of brinjal (round) is being sold at 70 taka and long at 60 taka, bitter gourd at 70 taka, bitter gourd at 60 taka, barbati at 80 taka, radish at 30 to 40 taka, lathi at 70 taka, cauliflower at 60 taka, dhundul at 50 taka and patol at 40 taka.
And papaya is being sold for 40 taka per kilogram, carrots for 60 to 70 taka, kachur mukhi for 80 taka, beans for 60 taka, turnips for 40 taka, and cucumbers for 40 to 50 taka.
Besides, coriander leaves are being sold at 50 taka per kg and chichinga at 40 to 50 taka. Depending on the quality, cauliflower is being sold at 40 taka per piece, cabbage at 50 taka and a gourd is being sold at 50 to 60 taka.
Green chillies are being sold for 80 to 100 taka per kg, red chillies for 10 taka, jute leaves for 10 to 15 taka, puishak for 30 to 40 taka, laushak for 50 taka, mulashak for 10 taka, datshak for 10 to 15 taka, kale for 10 taka and spinach for 15 to 20 taka.
Traders have given almost identical information, saying that the price of onion has decreased by 10 taka per kg in a week. Domestic onions are being sold at 120 taka per kg, while imported onions are being sold at 110 taka. Despite the decrease of 10 taka per kg, there is dissatisfaction among everyone about the price of onion. Because the price of onion has been high for a long time.
In the egg market, it has been seen that per dozen red eggs are being sold at retail for 144 to 145 taka and white eggs for 144 taka. And per dozen duck eggs are being sold for 240 to 250 taka and domestic chicken eggs for 240 taka.
In the fish market, per kilogram of rui is being sold at Tk 380 to 450, katal at Tk 400 to 480, cultivated sing at Tk 550, cultivated magur at Tk 500, cultivated koi at Tk 240 to 280, coral at Tk 750 to 800, tengra at Tk 550 to 700, cultivated pangash at Tk 180 to 230, and tilapia at Tk 180 to 220.
Besides, per kg, boal is being sold at Tk 750 to Tk 800, poya at Tk 450, pabda at Tk 350 to Tk 450, aadhar at Tk 850 to Tk 900, desi koi at Tk 1,300 to Tk 1,700, shing at Tk 1,400 to Tk 1,500, shoal at Tk 900 to Tk 1,000, and river pangas are being sold at Tk 900 to Tk 1,200 per kg.
In the Hilsa market, it has been seen that one kilogram of Hilsa is being sold for 2,200 taka. In addition, 1.5 kg Hilsa is being sold for 3,000 taka per kilogram, 800 to 900 grams of Hilsa is being sold for 2,000 taka, 500 to 600 grams of Hilsa is being sold for 1,400 to 1,500 taka, and 300 to 400 grams of Hilsa is being sold for 800 to 1,000 taka.
In the meat market, it has been seen that golden chicken is being sold for 290 to 300 taka per kg and broiler chicken for 175 to 190 taka. In addition, domestic chicken is being sold for 550 to 600 taka per kg, white layer for 230 taka and red layer for 280 taka. A duck of different breeds is being sold for 550 to 600 taka. In addition, beef is being sold for 750 to 800 taka per kg. Goat meat is being sold for 1,050 to 1,100 taka per kg and goat meat is being sold for 1,000 taka.
