Bangladesh's youth team is on the verge of winning the Under-19 Asia Cup for the second consecutive time. They have reached the final for the second time after defeating Pakistan by 7 wickets in the semi-final.

Bangladesh won the toss and sent Pakistan into bat at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, Pakistan could not withstand the pace of Iqbal and Maroof. The 'Men in Green' innings ended at 116 runs, losing all their wickets in 37 overs.

As a result, Bangladesh faced a target of 117 runs in the final. Chasing that target, they lost two wickets for 28 runs, but in the end, captain Azizul Hakim Tamim's responsible fifty earned the red-green representatives a ticket to the final.

Pakistan, who had lost the toss and opted to bat, were shaken up by pacer Maruf Mridha at the start. He dismissed opener Usman Khan (0) for 2 runs, and then dismissed another opener, Shahzaib Khan, for a duck in his second over.

Captain Saad Baig and Mohammad Riazullah tried to put up a fight. Both these batters were dismissed by another pacer, Iqbal Hossain Emon.

Pakistan started to lose 6 wickets for 79 runs. After that, Bangladesh did not allow any other batter to stand except Farhan Yousuf (32). In the end, Pakistan lost all their wickets and scored 116 runs. Tiger pacer Iqbal Hossain Emon took 4 wickets for 24 runs. Another pacer, Maruf Mridha, took 2 wickets for 23 runs.

Bangladesh came out to bat after setting a target of 117 runs, but Jawad Abrar and Kamal Siddiqui's opening pair could not provide any advantage. Kamal Siddiqui was out for a duck after the team scored 20 runs and returned to the pavilion. Bangladesh then came under pressure. The second wicket fell at 28 runs. Jawad Abrar returned after scoring 17 runs off 25 balls.

India defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the other semi-final to book their place in the final. India and Bangladesh will face each other in the final on December 8 at 11 am Bangladesh time.
