Gold price increases by 1666 taka per baht

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold in the country's market again. This time, the new price has been increased by a maximum of 1,666 taka per bhori. As a result of the price increase, the price of a bhori of good quality, i.e. 22 carat gold, will be 1,38,339 taka. Which was 1,37,227 taka today.

This information was given in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS), on Monday (December 9).

Bajus said that the price of acidic gold has decreased in the local market. Considering the overall situation, the new price of gold has been determined. The new price of gold will be effective from Tuesday. Earlier, on December 1, the maximum reduction was 1,481 taka.

According to the new prices, the best quality or 22-carat gold will be sold at Tk 1,38,339 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat gold at Tk 1,32,095 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,13,234 per bhori, and traditional gold at Tk 92,939 per bhori.


Although the price of gold has been reduced, the price of silver has remained unchanged. According to the category, the price of 22-carat silver per bhori is 2,578 taka, 21-carat is 2,449 taka, 18-carat is 2,111 taka and traditional silver is 1,586 taka.
