International Desk: 52.9 degree India’s capital Delhi has broken the all-time record of intense heat. With the political heat of the Lok Sabha polls, the temperature is rising.
The maximum temperature reached 52.9 degrees Celsius. However, the temperature is suspected to be 52.9 degrees. The Meteorological Department has announced an investigation.
According to NDTV, this temperature was recorded in Mungeshpur area of Delhi on Wednesday afternoon. Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi recorded a temperature of 49.9 degrees. That too was a record breaking temperature.
According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, this type of heat wave will continue in the country’s capital for the next three to four days.

At the same time, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh will experience scorching heat. Red alert for severe heatwave has also been issued in several places in North-West India.
This severe heatwave warning has been issued till Friday. Red alert issued by Met department means people are asked to be careful of heat illness and heat stroke. Especially, for children or the elderly, who are at risk of such illnesses.
A heat wave is declared when the maximum temperature in a region in India is 4.5 degrees Celsius to 6.4 degrees Celsius above normal. And when the maximum temperature is 6.5 degrees Celsius or more than normal, severe heat wave is declared.
Local meteorological offices in Delhi’s Narela and Mungeshpur recorded a temperature of 49.9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, which was the all-time record high and 9 degrees Celsius above normal. Indian meteorologists have predicted similar temperatures on Wednesday.
Warning has been issued in 6 states of North India from May 29 to May 30. Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, West Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are on red alert for this severe heat wave. Light to moderate rains with thundershowers are likely over north and central India from Friday onwards, the Met department said.
Meanwhile, the temperature of 52.9 degrees Celsius reported by the Delhi Meteorological Station on Wednesday has raised doubts.
