Entertainment Desk: Recently, an Indian web series called 'IC814: The Kandahar Hijack' has been released on Netflix. It is based on the hijacking of a plane from Nepal to India in 1999, known as the 'Kandahar plane hijacking'.

Directed by filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, the series stars Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor, Arvind Swamy, Dia Mirza, Vijay Barma. However, since the release of the series, there have been many controversies. This time the former head of the Research and Analysis Wing (R) of the Indian intelligence agency AS Dulat has opened his mouth on this matter. Apart from this, the former special secretary of the intelligence agency, Anand Arnio, also gave a response on this.

In the series, it was shown that Indian intelligence had information about the hijacking. But after some time it got noticed. This incident could have been avoided if the right decision was taken at the right time. The militants were not to be released in exchange for the lives of the passengers.

However, the former 'R' chief refused to accept the matter. AS Dulat said in the media, "We had no such warning."

He said that if the station chief had any such information, he could not have kept it to himself. In support of his statement, another officer, Anand Arni, said that the intelligence department received hundreds of information. It may contain information about the activity of the ISI station. But no information about the robbery was given directly.

The series also showed that the information about the hijacking came to the press. Anand Arni strongly objected to this. He claimed that the detectives also had the news. Immediately they set up the control room.

Subke 'R' chief Dulat also said while talking about that time, that day was Christmas Eve. An employee informed him. Asked to attend the Crisis Management Group (CMG) meeting. He immediately left the house. CMG became active in no time.

The screenplay of this series, which has become popular across India, is based on the book 'Flight Into Fear: The Captain's Story' written by journalist Srinjay Chowdhury and Captain Devi Saran. It was released in six episodes.
