Jumbangla Desk: Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). Iftekharuzzaman said, 'New Bangladesh was created with the spirit of anti-discrimination movement. The development of a new political force as a bearer of that consciousness has become essential. Now it's a matter of when, how, who will lead. We all have to decide on this and I want everyone. Everyone has to participate from their own position. '
He said these things at a discussion meeting titled 'Democracy and Good Governance in New Bangladesh: Expectations of Young People' organized by TIB at Midas Center in Dhanmondi of the capital on Sunday (September 15).
The key discussants in the discussion meeting moderated by the executive director of TIB were anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Hasnat Abdullah and Arif Sohail, National Citizen Committee spokesperson Samantha Sharmin and member Ariful Islam Adeeb, media worker and presenter Farabi Hafiz, young fiction writer Sadat Hossain, novelist and media worker Shimu Nasser and others.
The executive director of TIB said, 'Those who will take part in the next election, will go to power, if they do factionalism, usurpation, extortion; We have many reasons for apprehension and concern about this which has already started. Otherwise you will present yourself in that place of fascism and likewise you will fall. We will also ask the civil and military bureaucracy and the law enforcement agencies to receive education. '
