Jumbangla Desk: 3 people, including a woman, died due to electrocution in Surapara village of Porahati Union of Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila.

The accident happened on Monday (September 16) morning.
The deceased are - Angar Ali (60), son of deceased Mokched Molla of Surapara village, his brother's wife Hasina Khatun (55) and nephew's wife Reshma Khatun (40).
Jhenaidah Fire Station official Tanveer Hasan said that the papaya tree behind the house of Angar Ali, a farmer of Surapara village, was broken due to the storm of the last two days. On Sunday night, Angar Ali went to fix the papaya tree and died after being entangled in a broken electric wire. When he did not return home at night, the family started looking for him. On Monday morning, Hasina Khatun, Reshma Khatun saw Angar Ali lying on the ground and went to rescue her. At that time they were also electrocuted and seriously injured.
He also said that after receiving the information, the fire service rescued the injured from the spot and admitted them to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital. They also died while undergoing treatment.
In this regard, Shaheen Uddin, OC of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station, said that three people died due to electrocution in Surapara village. Police have been dispatched to the scene.
