Bangladesh's success story in Test cricket is not very big. Even after 24 years, the Tigers' Test statistics seem to be forgotten. 21 wins instead of 105 losses. A total of 18 matches were drawn. So far winless against India and South Africa. However, Bangladesh hardly got a chance to play Tests in that sense. The Tigers have not played a Test in England since 2010. Again, since 2003, no Test has been played in Australia.

However, this time the statistics of the Bangladesh team is quite strong. Bangladesh, who got only 1 win from the previous two test championship cycle, started matching the final score with 6 matches remaining. That calculation is very difficult but not impossible. But for that, Bangladesh will have to do something great in the upcoming series against India.

Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly and Azhar Jadeja do not see much potential between the Tigers, but popular commentator Harsha Bhogle says otherwise. This commentator's comment before Bangladesh team's India series, Nazmul Hossain Shantor's Test team is the best Test team for Bangladesh.

In a video on his YouTube channel, Harsha Bhogle said, 'Actually, the series with Bangladesh does not impress the audience very much. There is a reason for this. To be honest, whenever Bangladesh came to play a Test match before, they did not really compete much. Played 13 Tests against India, lost 11. 2 draws due to rain. They once came very close to winning the match. But I didn't see much desire to win in them.'

Harsha also talked about the 2019 Kolkata Test. Where the Tigers surrendered helplessly in front of India, the last time I saw them was in 2019, in a day-night match in Kolkata. I didn't really see that desire in them to compete, that's right, we know we're underdogs but we'll fight.

After that, this Indian commentator said that Shantar's Bangladesh is the best Test team he has ever seen, 'Now why am I so interested in Bangladesh's tour of India? Because I really believe this is the best Test team I've seen in a long time.'

Although Harsha Bhogle praises Bangladesh, he considers India as the favourite. And they want competitive cricket from Bangladesh, 'India will start as a favorite from far ahead. I would expect some fight from Bangladesh. Because I haven't seen it before. If they can fight back, it's going to be a great two-match Test series.'

The first match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh will be played in Chennai on August 19. The next Test will be in Kanpur from August 27.
