Jumbangla Desk: The Meteorological Office fears that storms may occur over 6 regions of the country with a maximum speed of 80 km.

This information was given in a warning issued for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Monday (September 16).

According to the warning, stormy winds with a speed of 60 to 80 km per hour may blow temporarily over Faridpur, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal and Faridpur areas from south or southeast direction. Therefore, the river ports of these areas have been asked to display naval warning signal number 2.

Apart from this, in other parts of the country, gusty or gale force winds may blow temporarily at a speed of 45 to 60 km from the same direction. Therefore, the river ports in these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, another weather bulletin said that this trend of storms and heavy rains in all parts of the country is expected to continue for the next few days.
