Businessman stabbed to death for protesting extortion

Jumbangla Desk: A businessman has been accused of being stabbed to death for protesting against extortion in Chittagong. The incident took place in Dhuppol Mistripara area of Bandar police station on Sunday night.
Name of the deceased. Muslim Uddin (48).
Local people said that a person was trying to extort money from a shop in Dhuppol Mistripara area. Muslim protested. There is a discussion between the two about this. At one point the Muslim was stabbed.
According to the police, Muslim Uddin was stabbed on the left side above the waist. He has a scrap iron shop. The police came to know that he had a conflict with some people over the shop .
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bandar police station Kazi Muhammad Sultan Ahsan said that a case will be filed by the family after the body is buried. However, preliminary investigation has started.
