Entertainment Desk: Indian Bengali movie actress Madhumita Sarkar narrowly escaped with her life. On Monday (September 15) afternoon, actress Madhumita Sarkar met with an accident while going to perform puja at one of the famous and ancient temples in Nimtala, Kolkata.

While going to the temple, the car carrying the actress was hit by a big lorry of the electricity department. Madhumita Sarkar lost his life in this. However, the door of the driver's seat almost collapsed. The actress herself confirmed this.

Several Indian media outlets including Sangam Pratidin are saying that the actress was shooting at Kolkata's Princep Ghat in the morning. There was a break for some time. Shooting was at night again. So Bhuthanath wanted to visit the temple in between shooting. And on the way, the actress's car met with an accident.

In a video post on Monday, the actress can be heard saying, 'Hello, today I came from Bhoothnath temple for puja. But when I was going I had a terrible experience.' He said a big lorry badly hit his car. He also said that a little more could have led to a major accident.

Madhumita Sarkar also said in that video post, 'No worries for me. I know I wouldn't have done anything. Because the one who is with me, thank God.'

Madhumita also said that even after this accident she offered puja in the temple and thanked God for always being with her.
