Jumbangla Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, "Students have created an opportunity with their blood to move forward, to bring our system the way the people want it." Has work already begun to undermine it? One can't help but be surprised when they say that a new party has to be created from among those who have been given responsibility, whom this government has given responsibility to. If they say they have to create a new party, then how will the people understand that they are working impartially?'

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said these things in a discussion meeting on 'Bicameral Parliament: Structure of the Upper Chamber' on Monday (September 16). Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) organized the meeting at Dhaka Reporters Unity.

In the meeting, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, 'Several groups have started saying that the interim government should be kept indefinitely. Let them do all the reforms. Any reform is not possible without people's participation. An elected government is needed for that.'

Mirza Fakhrul demanded the immediate withdrawal of all the cases against the BNP leaders and workers and said that the supporters of the Awami League government's dictatorship are still in the administration, they must be removed. Along with that, Mirza Fakhrul also demanded immediate compensation for those killed and injured in the movement.

JSD president ASM Abdur Rab presided over the discussion meeting. He said, the election must be done. But elections without reforms will not be of any use. The constitution should be reformed and the governance should be repaired. Those who kill cannot be forgiven. to judge.

Hasnat Qayyum, the chief coordinator of the state reform movement , said that a consensus should be reached on the issues that need to be reformed. Apart from this, one has to think about which one will be started first, how it will be implemented and how it can be made sustainable. Because, even if achieved, it cannot be sustained. If this movement is not reformed, it may fail, it needs to be discussed.

AB Party joint member secretary Asaduzzaman Fuad said that he does not support the bicameral parliament proposal. He said, it is a concern for security in Bangladesh. It will be difficult to pass legislation here. So it needs to be reconsidered.

Member Secretary of Bhasani Anusari Parishad Abu Yusuf Salim, General Secretary of JSD Shahid Uddin Mahmud, Vice President Mohammad Siraj Mia and KM Jabir also spoke at this time.
