The new rules were announced after a meeting between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Education Minister Kyriakos Pierkakis.

Education Minister Kyriakos said that after the summer vacation, i.e. from September 11, the ban on using mobile phones in schools was announced. Even if students bring their mobiles to school, they cannot take them out of their bags during school hours.

Anyone caught using a mobile phone during school hours will be suspended for one day for the first time. The class teacher will take action against him if he commits the same wrong for the second time.

Apart from this, any audio recording or video recording of classroom teaching has also been banned. It has also been said that no student or teacher can be photographed without perfection.

Prime Minister Mitsotakis said, we do not expect this rule to be 100% effective from day one. But we want students and parents to be careful about things and give full attention to lesson work.
