The Dragon capsule, which returned to Earth with the astronauts of Polaris Dawn, landed safely (splashdown) in the Gulf of Mexico last Sunday (September 15) in the first hour (3:30 p.m.). Returning novae who made history in space are: Jared Isaacman, Anna Menon, Sarah Gillis and Scott 'Kid' Patit. It is to be noted that the space mission was conducted by the Crew Dragon spacecraft named 'Resilience'.

SpaceX confirmed the safe landing of their Dragon capsule in a post yesterday from their account on social media platform X. SpaceX also welcomed 4 astronauts.

Notably, last Thursday (September 12), Isaacman and Gillis completed the first commercial spacewalk mission in history. Both men exited the spacecraft and participated in a series of mobility tests while wearing spacesuits.

Gillis and Menon set the record for the farthest space travel by women from Earth by taking part in the Polaris Dawn space mission. The 'Resilience' spacecraft reached a maximum altitude of 870 miles during this Polaris Dawn mission. It is to be noted that this is the highest altitude of man in space since the space mission conducted under NASA's Apollo program in 1972.

Apart from the spacewalk, the astronauts also conducted various scientific experiments in this campaign. 4 astronauts also participated in a 40-minute video call with Earth from space and were able to successfully send various files to Earth. The purpose of the video call and file transfer was to test the capabilities of Starlink's space communication system.
