Many of us fear public speaking. While speaking formally or informally in a public place (conference/ meeting/meeting etc.) we worry if I mumble/ no one claps after hearing me/ if someone asks a question I don't know the answer to/ or Any other undesirable conditions may arise. Thinking about these things can cause fever.

But with proper preparation, public speaking can be an enjoyable experience. This can be a good opportunity to introduce yourself or introduce your product/brand. There is no substitute for public speaking to introduce your expertise to the outside world for your new company.

Here I am going to tell you about five things or steps that you must follow before going on stage so that you can communicate well with your audience while giving a speech, and successfully complete your speech at the right time.

If you practice talking about your speech topic in front of your parents or grandparents or friends then your nervousness will be reduced a lot, confidence will be built. This experience will help you speak with ease on the public stage. But before saying it in front of your friends, you can practice in front of the mirror a few times.

Also, you will be able to correct the first time mistakes during the next speech after the first time. You only get better at this with practice. If this trend continues till you get on stage, you will definitely become a good speaker. More importantly, you can make good eye contact with your loved ones. They can easily spot your mistakes. It is best if you treat your audience on a public stage as your own.

Know where you are speaking. Because in each environment you will present the speech differently. Do not speak the same way in public as you would at a conference. Also know whether you are speaking using the microphone or not? Where are you standing on stage? Are you seeing eye to eye with everyone? Does that mean everyone is watching you? Or are you watching everyone?

Try to understand your audience by trying to communicate in different ways. Your audience will consist of people of different mindsets. Try to understand them all. You have to do this in a very short time, so be careful. Even if you don't succeed, at least try. Think of the audience as your people. How you address them is also important.

When you speak on a subject, know it well. One should not talk about anything without knowing it well. Be aware, there may be someone in your audience who is well-versed on the subject. So you should be careful. When you are speaking, be immersed in your speech. Concentrate on your subject.

Write down the lecture topics on a piece of paper/banner to help you remember them. For example, if there is a meeting, the banner will contain the content of the meeting, the name of the organizer, etc.; Company name, website, product motto, etc. can be written on the slides during the company's product/brand introduction event.
