It is known that factory workers protested in Chandra and Chakraborty areas of Dhaka-Tangail highway in Gazipur demanding unpaid salaries. Workers of Mahmud Jeans Limited and Niagara Textile Limited went on strike in Chandra area on Tuesday morning. On the other hand, workers of Beximco Group staged a protest in Chakraborty area demanding outstanding salary allowances.

Meanwhile, the workers of Executive High Fashion Limited in Shirirchala area of ​​Sadar Upazila of Gazipur are on strike.

The protesting workers said that there are about 1500 workers in the factory. Earlier, the workers presented various demands to the factory authorities. Last September 16 at around 10 o'clock on the way home from the office, miscreants iron man of the factory. Armaan was beaten and his wallet and mobile taken away. According to industrial police and local sources, 5 to 600 workers work in a garment factory named Season Dress in Khan Para area of ​​Tongir. The workers went on strike at around 9:30 am on Tuesday to demand outstanding salaries and other demands. Meanwhile, the workers protested and blocked the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. Traffic stopped on the highway. After receiving the information, members of the Industrial Police and other law enforcement agencies reached the spot and are trying to bring the situation under control.

Factory worker Parveen said that the agitation will continue until our demands are accepted. I will not stop the movement until the demands are met.

Even after contacting the factory authorities, no solution was found.

On the other hand, the workers of Tasmia Herbal Limited are on a strike demanding an increase in salary in Rajendrapur area under Sadar police station of Gazipur. Factory workers went on strike from 8:30 am on Tuesday. At that time they made noise inside the factory. The industrial police is trying to mediate between the factory authorities and the workers.

Meanwhile, the anti-discrimination labor movement, workers of Veritas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., are protesting with a nine-point demand for salary hike.

Assistant Superintendent of Police of Gazipur Industrial Area-2 Mosharraf Hossain said that the workers of the season dress factory are protesting by blocking the road in Tongi demanding the outstanding salary. Efforts are being made to remove them from the road. Besides, the factory authorities have been contacted for payment of salary and allowances.

Gazipur Shilpanchal Police-2 Superintendent of Police Sarwar Alam tried to contact him on his mobile phone as he did not receive the call, so it was not possible to get his statement.
