On this day, Sujan told the court, 'There has never been any criminal or political case against me before. I was not even in Dhaka. There has not been a case in my constituency. i am sick Brought from the hospital.'


Earlier, a team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested him on Monday (September 16) night. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Wari Division of DMP. Saleh Uddin told the media that he was arrested in a case of Jatrabari police station in the capital.


Md. Nurul Islam Sujan former Minister of Railways. He was elected as the first Member of Parliament for Panchagarh-2 (Boda-Debiganj) Constituency in 2008 in the 9th National Parliament Election. After that, he won the 12th National Parliament elections in 2014, 2018 and 2024 and was elected MP for the fourth consecutive time.

 


Nurul Islam Sujan was born in 1956 in Maidandighi of Boda Upazila of Panchagarh. He was a law student. While studying at Dhaka University, he was the affairs secretary of Daksur Science Auditorium. He was a member of the Senate of Dhaka University.
