On Tuesday (September 17) in the afternoon at the Secretariat Finance Advisor Dr. Nasis Sulaiman, Regional Hub Manager of the bank gave this information after a courtesy meeting with Salehuddin Ahmed.

He said that by 2026, i.e. in the next three years, we will provide support to several sectors that are necessary, including the development of energy infrastructure, dealing with the adverse effects of climate. It will be provided as per our policy like other Islamic countries. Its amount will be 4-5 billion.


In response to a question whether the assistance provided to the energy sector through the Arab Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) will be increased or not, he said, "We have discussed this matter."

IDB wants to invest in sectors like cyclone centres, flood damaged infrastructure, development of peripheral communication system, construction of big buildings like twin towers, said the financial advisor.
