Science and Technology Desk: India's largest motorcycle manufacturer Hero has launched a new fuel-efficient commuter bike. The new bike is designed following the company's once popular bike HF Dawn model. This bike is already on road for testing. However, some characteristic differences exist between the two models.

The new bike's headlights, camouflage-wrapped fuel tank and single-piece seat are similar to the AHF Don, but the rear design is slightly different. The tubular gravel present in the old Don is going to get a sleeker design this time. Again, there are alloy wheels instead of spoke wheels.

Although the bike's taillights, exposed instrument cluster, side panels and sloper engine look similar to Don. The Dawn had a 97.2 cc single-cylinder engine. The output of this engine is 8.2 bhp and 8 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a four speed gearbox.

Hero MotoCorp's upcoming bike features a telescopic front fork and dual rear springs. There are front and rear drum brakes and alloy wheels.

The price of this bike is expected to be affordable.
